Ok so I’ve uploaded the photo’s I took from the monkey forest. I saw this one in the information bit and it seemed to lend its self to a caption comp.
Enjoy

You can also leave captions as notes on [my flickr page]

Well I discovered the other day that an open source broadcom driver has been written which supports Airport Extreme (the Apple wireless card) so I gave it a go. And you know what?? It bloody works, as long as you don’t want any encyption (which I do).
So I’ve put down a [forum post] and we’ll see what comes out of the wash :)

last weekend I me and em went up to sunny stoke to visit my good friends boB and alice.
The [friday] (17th) wasn’t quite the usual hat fest as boB was ill and we ate in the pub, thus making us all very sleepy :) But the food was good and I brought [howls moving castle] to watch on DVD - which is excellent.
The saturday involved a trip to the [monkey forest] and the [wedgewood visitor centre] which were both excellent.
On sunday though I felt like crap when I woke up, which basically translates to spending monday and tuesday in bed where sweating was about all I could manage :(
But I’m better now, well I still have a cough but I can move and I’m starting to get taste back!!!

I read a lot of news today so I have a lot of opinions rattling around my head and keeping me from sleeping so I’ll mention them here:
- Windows XP on a Mac - this is really impressive, I don’t really know _why_ anyone would want to do this voluntarily, but the fact it can be done is an amazing example of what hackers can do :D (hackers NOT crackers - there’s a difference peeps)
- Ask Jack in the Guardian had a letter from a guy who claimed to have Windows on his iBook G4 (that’s the PPC processor version not the intel) which is nothing short of amazing, or an idiot who mistook a Linux distro for XP lol
- The human testers getting ill from trialing phase one drugs, news flash phase one = not been tested on humans, that’s why they made you sign that contract? and you got paid? remember? Even if it turns out that the drug company faked the animal tests (which is disgraceful) I still can’t find much sympathy for the testees!

Ok it’s been a while since I actually posted anything (as usual) blah blah work, blah blah life etc etc.
Anyways of most importance is the fact that I’ve changed hosting providers, from web mania (no link due to their absolute shitness and me not wanting anything to do with them) to [blackcurrant hosting] - which among other things supports [Ruby on Rails!] and lets you run crazy ass commands like [wget] and [ssh]!!
This also means I can experiment with other blogging tools like [typo], check it out monkeys! [monki on rails], yes yes I know I’ve only just changed - but I’m fickle like that :D
