Google Adverts in GMail

by jonh on July 11th, 2007

[GMail] (or Googlemail) is a nice free email service from Google that gives you almost 3Gigglebytes of storage.

It’s free because Google put context sensitive adverts down the right hand side when you’re reading your email – it’s completely unobtrusive but can sometimes be quite amusing, for instance:

In a conversation about Pokemans and stuff with marc:

Proud Navy Wife?
We have Love My Sailor and Proud Navy Wife items especially for you!
www.4armedforces.com

In a conversation about weird google ads with marc:

Is He/She Narcissistic?
Get the book. Overcome the love locking you in. Deal with the abuse
tearsandhealing.com/

Nice :D

I would like to add, how my adverts during the same conversations on Gmail were about pokemans and joining the navy respectively, i.e. topic based.

I just think J’s Gmail is broken,

or there is something he aint telling us….
