London Double Header

It was Dr Fox’s birthday recently so rather than the usual set of hankies we decided to take him to Twickenham to the London double header - the first game of the Guinness premiership for London Irish and Harlequinns and also Saracens and Wasps. Harlequinns beat London Irish but deservedly so, although at times it did appear as if the ref blew his whistle each time Irish had the ball.

With a healthy supply of chocolate from his sister, a few pints of Guinness and the last 4 pies from the van a good day was had by all.

Pah! Not at all envious at teams still in the Premiership, honest.

Still, at least Northampton are winning some games!

Watch it, not-not, or you’ll find yourself strapped to a greyhound in Poole in a few weeks!

    not-not: not London, not Irish.

In fairness to John, he does support his local team (applicable at time when loyalty was pledged) - a rarity in this day and age where its only the successful are supported. So well done him :D

Although I guess that’s more Football then Rugby. It did make me laugh at the FA Cup final this year when people were complaining that “real” fans weren’t getting tickets because coporate types were. The fact most Chelsea supporters have only been “real” fans since Roman arrived was never mentioned…

Sorry I forgot - Yeh Quins!!!

Indeed Marc, hence the supporting of Northampton, I can almost see the ground from here! Nop-one ever calls Saints fans glory supporters…

“No-one ever calls Saints fans glory supporters…”

/me plays the worlds saddest song on the worlds tiniest violin just for Simon and Northampton Saints :P

Don’t need your sympathy, plastic Paddy, we’re fine on our own. Let’s see if Irish can get 10,000 fans in WHEN they get relegated :P

We managed it a season ago :D

Come off it Marc, Quins only got 3 games over 10k attendance, Saints have two already! I’d bet a significant amount Saints will comfortably beat Quins’ ND1 average of 8,660.
