It's epitomized itself, and there are plenty of freely upgraded devices out there that have more native support for applications (N810, myTouch, PalmPre, all powered by Linux, and then there's the Blackberry). But I'm sure there'll be a new protocol for audio cords that allows data to be transmitted through a standard cable, so all devices can easily pass information. :3 We have some pretty awesome robots already, actually.
