Orange is a stupid word. It can be a name, a colour and a taste. How confusing is that!? Sort this out dictionary types!

    The same applies to a lot of fruit type words…see “lemon”, “peach”, “plum” etc.

    There’s a simple way to remove the colour aspect from all of the above. But would everyone really want to say “That’s a lovely shade of Pantone 1585 or RGB #F96B07 or CMYK 0/0.57/0.972/0.024″?

    Sort of lost in translation - that’s a reasonable shade of orange BTW.

    I guess that would work - the issue arose when someone was talking about Orange Tea. Which could either be:

    * orange coloured
    * orange flavoured
    * just a name….

    it was most confusing….
