I understand what you mean, but if they all decay then what will remind the next generation of the atrocities of the past?
Films, Books, Intertubes, the same way we remember other items from the past. I’m just not convinced that “seeing” a death camp is particularly great…but maybe I’m wrong.
You’d be amazed…on a slightly differnt tack but I went to one of the war cemetaries near the D Day landings a couple of years ago, watching videos etc. are nothing like seeing it for real.
So maybe you’re right, as there obviously won’t be graves for the thousands killed in the camps. Perhaps Auschwitz will have to suffice as their memorial.
